In July of 2009, we were pleased to have the first litter of pups from Mac (tri-color rough-coat merle male) and Reba (red smooth-coat female). There were seven puppies in the litter;four merles, two tri-colors, and one black and white. Three of the merles and one tri-color were males, and one merle, one tri and the b/w were females. All but one of the pups are living with their new owners, with prospective careers ranging from running companion to stock dogs, agility prospects and family pets. We kept the seventh pup, Baxter, and he's a great addition to our dog family. It had been several years since we'd raised a litter, and the puppies were and are a source of great entertainment!
