Our breeding pair of ABCA registered Border Collies for the past two years have been Mac and Reba, but a major move also meant changes in our program. Reba is now owned by Autumn Hobley of Deer Lodge, and recently had another litter of Mac puppies. Autumn can be reached at a.hobley@yahoo.com if you're looking for a great stock/agility prospect. Shortly after buying Reba in early September, Autumn started her on stock, and said she was working well in only a week. She describes her as the most natural stock dog they've trained!.
Mac is a rough coat tri-color merle bred by Shauna Stallings of Helena. He is a wonderful member of our farm family, loves kids, and is a natural athlete. His sire was Duke (imported from Scotland) and his dam Delta Dawn - several closely related dogs have reached national rankings in both agility and stock dog trials. Mac himself has sired pups that have gone on to do well in both fields, as well as having interesting careers such as goose-chaser at a golf course and training partner for a marathon runner! 
Reba is a smooth-coat red female from the breeding program of Mission Falls Ranch, sired by their good working male Badger and out of another of their well-bred stock dogs, Scarlett. Reba is a very personable, athletic dog, and has an intense competitive drive whether fetching a frisbee or learning to work sheep.
We have a new young female, also from the Mission Falls Ranch breeding program. Her name is MFR Cora, and we look forward to putting her into stock training this winter and breeding her to Mac in late 2011. Her sire is Macduff, from the Robin Nuffer program, and her dam is Scarlett, which makes her a half-sister to Reba.
